Altogether 1,959 Nepali migrant workers staying in Malaysia illegally have returned home after surrendering before Malaysia’s Immigration Department in the last six months.

According to a news published in a local daily, some 15,109 illegal migrant worker from various countries including Nepal had surrendered before the Immigration Department between the months of January and June this year and returned to their respective countries. Sri Lanka saw the highest number of its nationals surrendering before the Malaysian authorities to receive amnesty during this period, with 2,028 undocumented Sri Lankan migrant workers returning home. Similarly, Nepal came in second with 1,959 illegal Nepali migrant workers surrendering before the authorities and returning home while 1,858 Indians 1,629 Filipinos, 1,606 Indonesians, 1,016 Burmese, 1,009 Pakistanis, 952 Bangladeshis and 948 Vietnamese returned to their respective countries after surrendering before the Malaysian authorities during the period.

The Malaysian government has been granting amnesty to foreign workers who were staying in the country illegally so as to allow the latter group to return home after surrendering at the Immigration Department and paying a certain amount – 400 Malaysian Ringgit – as fine. Some 3,000 foreign workers staying in Malaysia illegally are said to have already benefited from the programme.

हेटौडा निवासी चार महिने शिशु प्रशान्त लामाको मुटुमा १० मिमिको प्वाल देखिएको छ । उनी शिशु निमोनियाले पनि ग्रसित छन् । चितवन मेडिकल कलेजमा थप उपचार सम्भव नभए पश्चात प्रशान्तलाई टिचिङ्ग हस्पिटल महाराजगंजमा को शिशु आइसियू शाखामा भर्ना गरिएको छ ।

सर्लाही, १७ साउन । सर्लाही जिल्लाको त्रिभुवननगर गाविसबाट भारतको विहार सोनबर्सा तर्फ जाने बाटोमा अवस्थित झिम नदीको पुल जोखिमपूर्ण अवस्थामा पुगेको छ । नदीमा पानीको बहाब बढेपछि तीव्र कटान जारी छ । जसका कारण पुल नै जोखिममा परेको हो ।


तर मर्मतका लागि सरकारले कुनै पहल गरेको छैन । पुल जुनसकै बेलापनि क्षतिग्रस्त हुनसक्छ । यस्तो हुँदाहुँदै पनि सरकारी निकायको वेवास्थाका कारण सो पुल भएर आवतजावत गर्नेहरु जोखिममा छन् ।



सो पुल भारत सरकारको सहयोगमा निर्माण भएको थियो ।

अहिले पाँच रोपनीमा सीमित धरहरा क्षेत्र अब विभिन्न व्यापारिक केन्द्रका साथ ४२ रोपनीमा पुनःनिर्माण गरिने भएको हो ।



संस्कृति, पर्यटन तथा नागरिक उड्डयन मन्त्रालयको आयोजनामा सोमबार राजधानीमा भएको कार्यक्रममा धरहराको प्राविधिक प्रस्तावलाई सार्वजनिक गरियो । तीन अर्बको लागतमा तीन वर्षभित्र सम्पन्न गर्ने योजना रहेको सो प्रस्ताव अनुसार अब धरहरा क्षेत्रमा अहिले रहेको गोश्वारा हुलाक र टक्सार कार्यालय समेत गाभिनेछ ।



उक्त प्रस्ताव तयार पार्ने वास्तुकार विष्णु पन्थीले पुरानो धरहराकै स्वरुपमा नयाँ धरहरा निर्माण गरिने बताए । भित्री भागमा केही व्यापारिक केन्द्र हुने भए पनि बाहिरी स्वरुप पुरानै धरहराको रहनेछ । पुरानो धरहराको अवशेषलाई नछोइकन त्यसैको अगाडिपट्टि नयाँ धरहरा बनाइने छ । नयाँ धरहरा क्षेत्रमा छिर्ने बित्तिकै बगैँचा देख्न सकिनेछ । बगैँचा वरिपरि बस्न मिल्ने र पानी परेका बेला ओत लाग्ने ठाउँ समेत राखिएको छ ।



नयाँ धरहरा क्षेत्रमा सुन्धारा समेत पर्ने भएकाले यसलाई पनि आकर्षक रुपमा प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ । सुन्धाराको धाराबाट पानी बग्नेछ र अहिले रहेकै ठाउँ पानीले भरिनेछ भने सुन्धाराको तीनतिरको छेउछेउ भर्‍याङ राखी अवलोकनकर्तालाई फोटो खिच्ने ठाउँ छाडिनेछ । यसले त्यस क्षेत्रमा पर्यटकको आकर्षण अझ बढी रहने विश्वास गर्न सकिन्छ ।



धरहरा छिर्ने बाटो हुँदै अगाडि बढ्दा छेउमा ५० फिटको पानीको फोहरा पनि देख्न सकिन्छ, जसबाट २४ घन्टा पानी प्रवाह हुन्छ । द्वारबाट भित्र छिरेपछि ‘अन्डरग्राउन्ड’ मा इलेक्ट्रिक भर्‍याङ् हुँदै तल झर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ । तल रहेको लिफ्टबाट सिधै धरहराको टुप्पोमा पुग्न सकिन्छ ।

पहिलेकै स्वरुपमा तयार पारिएकाले अहिले निर्माण गर्न लागिएको धरहरामा पनि ११ तला रहेको छ । धरहराबाट ८० प्रतिशत ‘भ्यू’ देखिने ‘ग्लास’ समेत राखिनेछ । धरहरामा प्रकाशको राम्रो व्यवस्था गरिने भएकाले साँझ यहाँ झलमल्ल हुन्छ ।

धरहराको उत्तरपट्टि तीन तले अत्याधुनिक ‘अन्डरग्राउन्ड पार्किङ’ को निर्माण गरिने छ । एकसय ३४ वटा गाडी अट्ने उक्त पार्किङ् क्षेत्रमा छिर्ने र निस्कने बाटो समेत छुट्टै तयार पारिएको छ ।

धराहरा चढ्न ‘लिफ्ट’

वास्तुकार पन्थीका अनुसार नयाँ धरहरा अपाङ्गता भएकालाई समेत ध्यानमा राखेर निर्माण गरिएकाले कसैले पनि धरहरा चढ्न पाइँन भनेर गुनासो गर्नुपर्ने छैन । दुई वटा लिफ्टको व्यवस्था गरिएकाले १०/१० जनाले एकै पटक धरहरा चढ्न सक्नेछन् ।

धरहराभित्रै थिएटर

पुरानो धरहराको इतिहास र अहिलेसम्मको अवस्थाबारे अवलोकनकर्तालाई जानकारी दिन नयाँ धरहराभित्रै ‘मिनी थिएटर’ को व्यवस्था गरिने छ । उक्त मिनी थिएटरमा भीमसेन थापा, महारानी त्रिपुरासुन्दरीले निर्माण गराएको धरहरा, धरहरा निर्माणको इतिहास, भत्किएपछिको अवस्थालगायतको १५ मिनेटको वृत्तचित्र समेत देखाइने छ । थियटरको २० जनासम्म अट्ने क्षमता छ ।

धरहरा क्षेत्रमा सङ्ग्रहालय
इतिहासलाई जीवन्त राख्ने र नयाँ पिँढीलाई यसबारे जानकारी दिने उद्देश्यले टक्सार कार्यालयमा रहेका पुराना मेसिन, मुद्रालाई सङ्ग्रहालय निर्माण गरी व्यवस्थित गरिनेछ । पचास वर्ग फिटको क्षेत्रमा निर्माण गरिने उक्त सङ्ग्रहालयमा नेपालमा मुद्रा बनाउन प्रयोग गरिएका विभिन्न मेसिन प्रदर्शनीमा राखिनेछ । धरहरामा छिर्ने बित्तिकै सङ्ग्रहालय नदेखिने भएकाले उक्त सङ्ग्रहालय हेर्न अवलोकनकर्ताले एकछिन भए पनि चारैतिर खोज्नैपर्नेे छ ।

नेपालका प्रथम प्रधानमन्त्री भीमसेन थापाले विसं १८८१ मा आफ्नो दरबार लगनटोलमा पहिलो पटक धरहरा बनाउन लगाएका थिए । यो धरहरा बनाएको अर्को वर्ष अर्थात् विसं १८८२ मा महारानी त्रिपुरासुन्दरीले अहिले धरहरा रहेको स्थानमा धरहरा बनाउन लगाइन् । विसं १८९० को भूकम्पले भीमसेन थापाले बनाएको धरहरा चर्किएको भए पनि रानीले बनाउन लगाएको धरहरामा भने केही भएको थिएन ।
